How do you lead when YOU are in over your head?
You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view.
Harper Lee from To Kill a Mockingbird
Vernice’s Story
Clients have described my style as relational, experiential, developmental and an information-rich coaching approach. Today, clients often reach out to me for strategy, straight talk, a sounding board and developmental guidance. What I offer is shaped by a mix of lived experience and deep training. It’s an approach I’ve refined over time, from the inside out.
My executive coaching journey began with leaders across Asia, a time when I fine-tuned a listening that went beneath words, stories and the silences in between. This work also underscored for me that a focus solely on leadership awareness, strategy and sensemaking without a fundamental understanding of the surrounding context isn’t just unhelpful, it is actively antithetical to a leader’s ability to lead. From there my work expanded across geographies, industries, and cultures, eventually leading me further into an exploration of internal sensemaking and organizational culture.
I continue to work with clients to help them uncover, step-by-step, a fundamental understanding of themselves and their ecosystems. Together, we unlock their natural leadership and strategic capacity so they can face complexity with more clarity, less effort and greater adaptability.
I do this work because I love it, and because my clients share the tangible results they’ve achieved from our work together, impacting not just what they do, but who they are.
